Small Business Challenge
The Children Services Council of St. Lucie County along with the St. Lucie Chamber of Commerce has established the Small Business Challenge Program to help incentivize the use of locally owned St. Lucie County businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic, while also supporting local non-profit providers
Utilizing their extensive networks, including more than 13,000 followers on Facebook, a radio show and several local access TV spots, the Children’s Services Council of St. Lucie County and the St. Lucie Chamber of Commerce want to issue a “challenge” to residents to find ways to support local businesses and local non-profits during these trying times.
The program will work like this: participating businesses, nominated by the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce will choose a non-profit, funded by the Children’s Services Council, as a partner. On a selected day, the Children’s Services Council of St. Lucie County will donate an amount equal to the selected business’ revenue (up to $1,000) to their non-profit “partner”. Both the business and the non-profit, as well as the Chamber and CSCSLC will promote the partnership via social media and other marketing channels.
