Funded Programs

Throughout its history, the Children’s Services Council (CSC) has been investing in children’s programs to create a network of prevention and early intervention services available to the community.  Programs are funded based on their ability to make an impact on the lives of the children they serve.  By examining the needs of our community, the Children’s Services Council carefully selects programs to address these identified needs.

All funded programs are held accountable for achieving positive change in the community as well proper expenditure of taxpayer dollars.  The Children’s Services Council funds programs in the following categories.  Click on each category to view the specific programs funded.

For Fiscal Year 2007-08, the Children’s Services Council is funding 60 programs.  The impact the funded programs make on the children and families they serve include:

• Increasing academic performance
• Increasing school attendance
• Improving parenting skills
• Increasing positive activities available for children
• Increasing number of insured families
• Reducing teen pregnancy
• Reducing incidences of child abuse
• Reducing juvenile delinquency
