A Success Story

A young mother and father with three autistic children ages 7, 9, and 10 were reported to child abuse services because the children had scratches on their arms and legs.  A CASTLE counselor visited and learned that the family was unable to access needed services for the children, and were trying their best to cope with the learning and behavioral difficulties presented by their children.   This was a two parent, employed family that was struggling to remain together, but who did not have the skills to deal with their children’s disabilities.
