New Blog Post

Parenting is already a difficult task, but often there are circumstances in our lives that make it even harder, even overwhelming. It is not rare that people go through these hardships with little social support but with programs like Healthy Families it is becoming less rare.

This story tells of a visually impaired young single mom who gained insight from the parenting and child development knowledge that Healthy Families provided.

A Success Story

While visiting a 34 year old, first-time mom, who delivered via c-section, the Home Visitation RN noted that the client was taking several medications for continued high blood pressure and possible incisional infection. Client’s blood pressure was moderately high, but client verbalized that she was continuing to take the blood pressure medication as ordered.
